Everyone but me seems to love this guitar. I think it sounds vastly different when you sit in front of it and listen than when you are above it and playing. It lacks the typical Ovation sound, which is what people like. It is a "deep dish" and fat and loud. There is no pickup and that may be part of its great sound as well. Also, with its aerospace body mold it does not get scratched up by belts or jean rivets, but I would rather have to be more careful and replace it with something having more of a "wood" sound, like a Taylor. In short, this is a great performance guitar for sure, but I am not crazy about recording with it and Engineer Kramer is even more opinionated about it than I am.
