Fender Stratocaster Strat Plus

This Stratocaster may not have the typical Fender twang, like our pink friend who is also featured on this site, but it is the most dependable guitar you could ask for. The tuners are the locking type where you just insert the string and turn to close (no winding!). The Lace Sensor pickups (this was their final year on Fenders) are ultra quiet. It also features TBX tone control and the nut is an LSR ball bearing roller unit that the strings do not drag over, but roll over. In short, this guitar stays in tune and only makes sound when a note is emanating from it. If only Fender USA had not still been excessively routing out the wood under the pickguard into the late '90s (referred to as the "swimming pool"), I would find no fault with this instrument. It not only looks like a class act, but it's a real trooper as well.
